SoCal Vegan Bake Sale at The Gentle Barn this Sunday!

Written by Sarah E. Jahier

Eeeeeek...I apologize for the last-minute announcement, but I have been so crazy busy lately (traveling, new job, moving, and so on) and I am sad to say I haven't had much time for blogging! BUT I did want to tell you about a magical upcoming event this weekend in SoCal! In honor and in support of the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale, The Gentle Barn, an animal sanctuary in Santa Clarita, CA, will be hosting a vegan bake sale this Sunday, May 4th, 2014!

There will be sweets supplied by home cooks as well as from various SoCal bakeries and restaurants! Plus, coffee and assorted drinks to help wash down those yummy goodies! All proceeds from the bake sale will go to The Gentle Barn, a place that takes in animals that have been abused or that no one will take in. They take care of the animals' rehabilitation and give them a happy home to spend the rest of their days!

In addition to the delicious desserts that will be served up, you will also have the chance to visit the animals at The Gentle Barn, and let me tell you, you haven't lived until you've hugged a giant piggie or beautiful cow!

Here are the details of the event:

LOCATION: The Gentle Barn
ADDRESS: 15825 Sierra Highway, Santa Clarita, CA 91390
DATE: Sunday May 4, 2014
TIME: 10am – 2pm
FOR MORE INFO: Facebook Event

Please remember that The Gentle Barn asks for a $10 donation per person for entry - this cost helps them cover the food, care and shelter they provide to the animals in need. Any vegan baked goods will be purchased separately, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to The Gentle Barn as well! Think of how many animals you can help with your donations!

The Gentle Barn is truly a special, heartwarming place where you can connect with the animals, hear their stories, spend time with fellow animal-lovers, and, this weekend, EAT ALL THE VEGAN TREATS!

Hope you can make it!
