100 Days To Halloween

Eeeeeek! Today marks 100 days to Halloween! I can't believe we have already arrived at this milestone this year. This year has definitely been difficult and I haven't been around much on here or other social media. Though navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic has been hard (though I would say the hardest part is dealing with people who refuse to wear masks or social distance), I am glad that it acted as a catalyst for the Black Lives Matter movement to gain momentum and wake a lot of people up. With this social movement as well as the continued threat of COVID-19 (and spending most of the year staying home), this year feels like it has sped by!

I'm glad that we will soon have the solace of autumn to soothe our souls. I know many of you are worried that Halloween will be "cancelled" this year, but I'm here to remind you that Halloween can never be cancelled! Halloween lives in our spooky hearts year-round and its spirit will never be quelled. Yes, celebrations might look a little different this year, but we can still celebrate the spooky spirit of Halloween in many ways.

This year, Halloween hunting trips might be a little less frequent, but I may venture to some stores soon (wearing a mask, sanitizing regularly, and social distancing, of course!) to see if there are any Halloween goodies on the shelves. I'll be sharing any finds on my Instagram and Facebook pages, so keep your eyes peeled!

I'll also be sharing ways to celebrate Halloween during this pandemic, so we can all stay safe, keep each other safe, and still celebrate the best holiday of all! If you have any awesome ideas of how you'll be celebrating this year, please let me know in the comments below!

Stay spooky, my fiends, and know that Halloween will never die!

  1. Yay for Halloween!!! We'll rely on you to guide us through this one during the pandemic. One thing I'm very sad about though is that Pier 1 is closing! They always have (had) such nice holiday stuff. Oh well, we'll find lots of spooky things elsewhere.
