6 Spooky Spring Events in SoCal Horror + Halloween Fans Don't Want to Miss

If you have the Halloween blues like I do, you'll be glad to know that this spring promises six spooky events in Southern California for horror and Halloween fans! From a haunted house to oddities and curiosities shows to a horror art installation to a Halloween event to a horror convention, there are plenty of things for fans of the macabre to enjoy this spring while we count down the days to Halloween!

Check out six spooky spring events in Southern California you don't want to miss below:

Reign of Terror Haunted House Special Spring Event (March 9th, 2019) - This huge haunt in Thousand Oaks is opening for a special one-night only event! All of its 100+ rooms over eight haunted attractions will be open to thrill and scare you and give you your haunt fix! Timed tickets are available now via the link above.

San Diego Oddities and Curiosities Expo (March 9th, 2019) - I haven't heard much about this event, but it looks like it will be a great gathering of vendors offering taxidermy, preserved specimens, antiques, jewelry, eerie artwork, skulls and bones, curiosities and other strange and unusual items for sale, with sideshow performances and live human suspensions throughout the day.

I Like Scary Movies Interactive Experience (select dates in April) - This interactive art experience that will feature immersive installations from films like The Lost Boys, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining, IT: Chapter 1, and Beetlejuice, and promises plenty of Instagram-worthy photo ops.

7th Annual Spook Show at Halloween Club (Saturday, April 6th, 2019) - One of my favorite spooky springtime activities is attending Spook Show, where I can shop for Halloween goodies at a discount at the Halloween Club and then shop my fave vendors and visit my spooky fiends! It's an event that makes it feel like Halloween season for the day. If you want to see what I mean, check out my past coverage of the last few years of the event HERE!

Monsterpalooza (April 12th - 14th, 2019) - This horror convention that focuses on special FX and practical FX artists in horror films returns to Pasadena for a weekend in April. Besides makeup and FX demos, it features horror vendors and special guests. If you're looking for a horror fix this spring, this is the convention for you.

Oddities Flea Market Los Angeles (May 18th - 19th, 2019) - The Oddities Flea Market returns for its second year in Los Angeles! After a widely successful event last year, they are expanding to two full days, plus introducing classes and workshops in addition to the collection of incredible vendors selling dark art, curiosities, jewelry, clothing, decor, and so much more for darklings.

I hope these give you a fearsome fix if you live in Southern California! If you plan on attending any of these, let me know in the comments below! If you live elsewhere, do you have any spooky springtime events?

Stay spooky, my fiends!
