10 Things I'm Loving This April

It's officially springtime here and temperatures are heating up, flowers are blooming, the rain has stopped, and summer is swiftly on the way (but that just means we are closer to Halloween season, right?!). This month has been a whirlwind of activity and seems to have gone by in a flash! So much good stuff happened that it is gonna be tough to consolidate it down to ten, but here we go!

As I've been doing on a monthly basis with these "ten things" posts, I'm sharing 10 items I'm loving this month. This practice encourages me to be grateful for the little (and big) things in my life and also give me a chance to share some cool things with you!

I am truly spoiled here with Halloween and horror events here in SoCal, from Midsummer Scream to seasonal exhibits at the Mystic Museum to Halloween in spring at Spook Show, which was held this past weekend at Halloween Club. It was an amazing event and I wish everyone could attend! Since everyone can't make it all the way out to SoCal for this event, I wanted to give back to our Halloween and horror community by holding a contest to win some goodies from the event. The Seventh Annual Spook Show Halloween Festival

Ghouls and boils, this past Saturday I attended one of my favorite spooky spring-time events, Spook Show! This Halloween festival gathers some incredible vendors, entertainers, and Halloween-lovers together to celebrate Halloween in spring at the Halloween Club located in La Mirada, California. It definitely gives the spooky kids something to look forward to in springtime, when most eerie events are few and far between. Want a peek at my past years' coverage? This year was their biggest event yet, with so many new and amazing vendors, plus performances from musical acts as well as other performers and presentations. In addition to all the vendors offering horror and Halloween-themed items, the Halloween Club itself had a massive warehouse sale with hugely discounted props, decor, and more!

I had such a blast at this year's Spook Show 7 - I got to see so many fiendish friends, meet so many ghastly ghouls and boils, and of course shop 'til I dropped! I also partnered with some rad vendors and will be hosting a giveaway this week over on my Instagram, so stay tuned over there for details on how you can win a prize pack from Spook Show!

Halloween Club Reveals Full Lineup for Spook Show

Halloween Club's Spook Show is only two weeks away, and I am so excited to have a day dedicated to all things Halloween in spring! The Halloween Club, a huge Halloween store that is open year-round, has been hosting Spook Show for seven ghoulish years. I always have such a blast at this gathering of ghouls, shopping spooky vendors, taking advantage of Halloween Club's massive sale, and enjoying the undead entertainment.

Halloween Club released their full lineup of vendors, entertainment, and special guests for their seventh annual Spook Show, and it looks to be the biggest and best one yet! Check out the schedule of events for entertainment, the vendor list, and the special guests and presentations they have planned for Saturday, April 6th below:

Halloween Club's Spook Show Just 1 Month Away!

For the past few years, horror and Halloween enthusiasts near and far have traveled to meet where all kindred spirits converge, at the "Spook Show", an annual event conjured up by the Halloween Club in La Mirada, California. This is one of my favorite springtime events, especially since we get to celebrate Halloween in April! It's full of incredible vendors, killer deals, costumed attendees, Halloween-themed musical acts and performers, and so much fun! The Sixth Annual Spook Show Halloween Festival

The sixth annual Spook Show was held at the Halloween Club this past Saturday, and it was an absolute blast! If you haven't heard of Spook Show, it is a Halloween celebration in spring, hosted by the Halloween Club, which is a Halloween store open year-round with various locations in Southern California. I look forward to this event every year, because it's a pumpkin-spice flavored taste of Halloween in the springtime. This was my fourth time attending this event (you can check out my visits from past years HERE, HERE and HERE!), and every year it keeps getting bigger and better! Spook Show 6 Scares Up Halloween Fun This April

In just a little over a week away, Halloween Club's Spook Show returns for its sixth year in La Mirada, California on Saturday, April 7th, 2018! I love this event, and it fills my Halloween heart with so my joy and promises so much fiendish fun! There will be Halloween and horror vendors galore, a huge sale at the Halloween Club, live music and performances, costumes, and tons of other treats! Who else is going through Halloween withdrawals? I know I am, though there are only 250 days left until Halloween! The good news is that there are a ton of Halloween and horror-related events in Southern California to attend this spring and summer that will tide us over until Halloween.

The Fifth Annual Spook Show Halloween Festival

This past Saturday Halloween Club in La Mirada, California hosted their fifth annual Spook Show Halloween Festival, a celebration for fiends who celebrate Halloween everyday! I look forward to this event every year, since it is like having Halloween in March! This was my third time attending this event (you can check out recaps from past years HERE and HERE!), and every year I've been it keeps getting bigger and better! If you haven't heard of Spook Show, it is a fun outdoor event that brings together a wide variety of vendors selling Halloween and horror merch, as well as booths from upcoming Halloween and haunted events, plus food trucks, a hearse show, and live entertainment! It is put on by the Halloween Club (which is where the event is located), a huge Halloween warehouse that is open year-round (and has huge sales for this event). In a few weeks, Halloween Club's Spook Show is back for its fifth year, which promises to scare up bigger and better festivities for Halloween fiends of all ages! I simply adore this event, as it fills my Halloween-loving heart with joy to be among fellow spooks and so many Halloween goodies. There is live music, fun performances, attendees who dress up, and so many Halloween and horror products to treat yourself with! It is like celebrating Halloween in spring! Halloween lovers rejoice! Southern California has six upcoming Halloween-centric events that will help you keep your spooky spirit satiated until autumn arrives! These events will be haunting SoCal from spring all the way through summer to help you celebrate Halloween everyday through these dreadfully cheery, sunny months.

If you're anything like me, you've had the Halloween blues and have been pining away for October nights, haunted houses, spooky costumes, scary stories, and orange and black decor. Thank goodness that we have all these Halloween events happening throughout Southern California to give us pumpkin spice and everything not-so-nice!

I've listed six spellbinding events below. They are ordered chronologically, so you can easily mark your calendars with these eerie Halloween events you won't want to miss!

The Fourth Annual Spook Show Halloween Festival

Last month I attended the Halloween Club's 4th Annual Spook Show in La Mirada, California. It was my second year attending the event (you can check out pics and my report from last year here!), which is a fantastic outdoor market selling all kinds of Halloween and horror-inspired wares! The event brings together a wide array of vendors who sell anything from Halloween props and decor, to makeup, to taxidermy, to clothing and costumes, and much, much more! Pretty much anything you can think of, including art, jewelry, hair accessories, purses, knick-knacks, furniture, masks - all with a spooky twist of course! Plus there were also local haunts representing there, too, along with various Halloween entertainment vendors. The event is like a slice of Halloween heaven in springtime!

The 4th Annual Spook Show Scares Up Some Fun this Weekend

Boils and ghouls, step right up for the 4th Annual Spook Show, held at the Halloween Club in La Mirada, CA this Saturday, March 5th, 2016 from noon to 7 PM.

The outdoor event brings together Halloween enthusiasts from all over Southern California to browse vendors selling arts, crafts, curios, props, jewelry, costumes, decor, music, and more! There is also live music, food trucks (Southern Fried Vegan will be there, woot woot!), and the Halloween Club has their biggest sale of the year during the Spook Show.

I went to the event last year and it was a lot of fun (check out pics)! Tons of cool props, toys, collectibles, art, crafts, etc. to look at, plus many attendees dress up in costume. It's like having Halloween in springtime!

The 3rd Annual Spook Show at the Halloween Club

Last month I attended the Halloween Club's 3rd Annual Spook Show in La Mirada, California. This was my first time attending this event, which brings together Halloween enthusiasts and Halloween/horror/gothic vendors, plus, a huge discount on merchandise from the Halloween Club (I believe they were offering 40% off). The vendors are all set up in the parking lot of the Halloween Club, and offer diverse wares such as art, jewelry, horror merchandise, purses, hair accessories, masks, toys, Halloween decor and props, gothic furniture, t-shirts, taxidermy, and much, much more! There are booths for those representing local haunts, attractions and conventions, people dressed in elaborate costumes, food trucks, a stage with music acts and host, and more fantastical fun! Plus, it is free to attend!
