This has been a hectic month with trying to pack and get ready for a big move, plus getting ready to travel for a wedding, not to mention how bonkers work has been! Thank goodness I had some things that kept me sane and happy this month, and as per my monthly tradition, I'm sharing 10 of these things with you below. This monthly practice encourages me to reflect on things I'm grateful for this month as well as sharing some of my favorite things with you! And I always love to hear about items you are digging this month, feel free to share them with me in the comments!
Here are my 10 Things I'm Loving this June:
1.) Halloween arrives At Home - OMG, SoCal finally got their very own At Home store! For years I've been wistfully looking at other's photos from At Home, which is among the first store that puts out Halloween stuff. Now I have my very own At Home to stalk and buy Halloween goodies from! I've already been a few times, and at my last visit I was delighted to find Halloween decorating the aisles (check out what they had HERE!).
2.) June Gloom - It has been cool and cloudy almost all month and I am loving it! I wish it was like this all the time, as this weather reminds me of autumn and spookiness!
3.) Order of the Thinned Veil membership package - I received 2019's membership package filled with Halloween art and goodies. It certainly gave me the spooky boost of joy I needed this month. Just look at some of the items I received above - a gorgeous print, a cute little clown jack-o-lantern, and membership pin!
4.) Derma E Even Tone Brightening Cleanser with Vitamin C and Vitamin C Intense Night Cream - The warmer summer weather always plays havoc with my skin, so I've been trying these two vitamin C skin products from Derma E this month. They are vegan and cruelty-free (as are all of Derma E's products), and as with other Derma E products I've tried, they are fantastic! My skin feels and looks better from using the facial cleanser morning and night, and then using the cream at night. The cream isn't too heavy like how some night creams can be, and makes my skin look refreshed in the morning! Definitely look forward to using these the rest of the summer.
5.) Haute Macabre's Mummies of Mexico City Hair Gloss - I pre-ordered this Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab hair gloss from Haute Macabre, and it finally arrived this month. I have been obsessed with it ever since! I've used hair gloss from Haute Macabre before (and gushed about it many times), but this scent is my favorite of all the ones I've ever used! I'm not sure the scent profile, but I swoon pretty much anytime I put it on! I hope they bring this back because I want to order so much more of this scent!
6.) Purging - Ok, I listed this last month as well, but it has spilled over into this month, too. Ahead of moving I have been purging so many items in my collection. I've had several in-person yard sales, as well as selling items online and also donating items or selling them on Craigslist. It feels so good to unburden myself of things (though I will miss many of them, though I know I can re-build my collection when I get re-settled).
7.) Jack-o-melons everywhere - I love carving watermelons into jack-o-melons (or melon-o-lanterns, which is really more correct) every summer, and I am delighted to see more and more people doing the same! We have jack-o-melons in honor of Summerween (around June 22nd every year) and they make wonderful centerpieces for Fourth of July celebrations, summer picnics, etc., etc. Instagram has been filled with jack-o-melons this year, and seeing them always makes me grin! I love the spooky Halloween community!
8.) Celebrity Ghost Stories - This just hit Amazon Prime and I binged seasons 1 and 2 in a few days while packing. I was just thinking about this series a few months ago and how I'd like to see it again, so I'm so glad it finally hit a streaming platform! It's fun and some of the stories are really creepy! One of my faves is Marilyn Manson talking about when he was young and read from the Necronomicon. Lots of spooky goodness and wonderful to have on in the background.

9.) Strawberry everything - I've been craving strawberries this month; everything from strawberry-scented shampoo (Pacifica used to make one I LOVED, but they've discontinued it, boo), to dried strawberries to strawberry milkshakes (vegan, of course), to fresh strawberries. What is more perfect that kicking off summer season with delicious strawberries?!
10.) Two Girls One Ghost Podcast - I recently started listening to these two ghouls who talk about hauntings, the supernatural/paranormal, plus other macabre subjects. I had a lot of fun listening to their recent "Haunted Anaheim" episode where they discussed paranormal stories from Disneyland and the notorious Black Star Canyon.
What have been some things you are loving this June?
P.S. I may be MIA in July as I will be traveling and then moving. Hopefully I'll still be able to share my Halloween finds here!
Stay spooky!

I love the Jack-O-Melon idea! I'll definitely have to make one next time I pick up a watermelon.
