I made them from a mix (amazingly, it was vegan! It called for butter and egg, but I just used Earth Balance and egg replacer), but it would be super-easy to make from scratch. Just make your basic chocolate cookie recipe (recommended: Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar
), your basic icing recipe (add some orange food coloring - or red and yellow mixed) and then get one of THESE
nifty cookie cutters to get the job done!Or, if you're lucky, you can find the mix that I got, which came with its own spiffy cookie cutter!
