Ever since The Blair Witch Project there have been a plethora of “found footage” faux documentaries. Some are good (My Little Eye, Evil Things) while others are just groan-worthy (Paranormal Activity).
Can you guess which category Death of a Ghost Hunter falls into?
Good review, though I guess I'll probably skip this one. Doesn't strike to me as a very interesting flick, either.

Nope, it wasn't very interesting!
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, Lake Mungo was absolutely brilliant!! I thought I had done a write up of that on Fatally-Yours, but I just checked and I haven't...I should get on that, but it's been a while since I've seen it!
If you haven't seen Lake Mungo, though, it is excellent and you should check it out!
I liked Death of a Ghost Hunter especially for the ending. Slasher/hackers didn't scare me as much as the evengelical Mary Beth. That for me was a real enemy within character. Lake Mungo sounds like it's worth a look.
