Beauty Review: Acure Organics Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

I am constantly putting my hair through hell – dying, drying, and straightening all leave my already naturally-coarse, thick hair dry and damaged. So, I am always on the lookout for new cruelty-free, vegan shampoos and conditioners that will gently cleanse and repair my hair without too much of a fuss.

I have had my eye on Acure Organics' Moroccan Argan Oil and Argan Stem Cell shampoo and conditioner for a while now, and when I found them on sale at my local health food store I snatched them right up! I have used argan oil for my hair in the past (when I used harsher dyes on my hair) and always thought it did an awesome job of conditioning my hair, so I couldn't wait to try a shampoo/conditioner combo with argan oil!


Acure’s Moroccan Argan Oil and Argan Stem cell shampoo and conditioner is recommended for normal to dry/damaged/curly hair (check, check, check!) and is described on their site as:

"Provide[ing] lasting moisture to even the most dry and damaged hair leaving it soft, manageable and ready to rock. Organic Argan Oil + Argan Stem Cells, CoQ10, and Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil--high in Omega 7, make up our patent-pending Triple Moisture System. Pumpkin Seed Oil --high in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, adds shine. Hair repair with serious flair. Safe for color treated hair."

The first few times I washed/conditioned my hair with Acure I was disappointed – my hair seemed greasier and weighed down. However, I figured out that I was just using too much of the shampoo (my hair is so thick I was used to using tons with other shampoos!) and once I tried using less the problem went away! It seems that with this shampoo and conditioner a little goes a long way, even on my crazy thick hair! Once I started using it the right way, my hair was fabulous! It felt smooth, soft, well-conditioned and amazingly shiny! My scalp even felt healthier! I definitely felt that it locked in moisture, repaired my damaged, dry hair and even strengthened my locks!

Besides my hair looking and feeling awesome, I really like the fact that Acure uses organic ingredients, is color safe, vegan, gluten free, sulfate free, paraben free, phthalate free, and cruelty free!

I have been using the Acure shampoo and conditioner for about two to three months, and I am still really pleased with the result on my hair. I also really love the smell, which reminds me of sweet almond biscotti! I step out of the shower smelling good enough to eat!

If you are looking for some new vegan hair care products, I couldn't recommend Acure Organics' Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner highly enough! Just please note that not all of Acure Organics' products are vegan (for example, I noticed that their lip product is made with beeswax), so please be sure to double-check the ingredients!
