Grave Harvest Halloween Convention 2017

Grave Harvest 2017

Last year's Grave Harvest was so much fun (check out my recap!), I couldn't wait for this year's event, which took place this past Saturday at The Hotel Fullerton. Grave Harvest is Orange County's very own Halloween convention hosted by Abracadaver Productions, and features oodles of Halloween vendors, plus classes and presentations throughout the day. Check out my coverage of this year's event below!

One of the ballrooms set up with vendors and full of happy Halloween fans!

I was most excited to check out the vendors, who were selling everything from t-shirts to baked goods to dolls to artwork to jewelry and so much more! With two ballrooms in the hotel full of vendors, I knew I could find some Halloweenie treasures to take home with me. There did seem to be fewer vendors than last year, however.

Besides all the fantastic vendors, there were presentations from Larry Carr of Abracadaver Productions on how to corpsify a skeleton, world-renowned psychic-medium Michael J. Khoury on investigating haunted houses, and class on refabrication by Dave King. There was also an appearance by actor Philip Friedman, who played the black bride in Insidious, as well as special make-up artist Sarah Rodriguez performing demos.

Make your own corpsified skeleton!

I was provided with free entry to cover the event, but general admission tickets were $10 in advance and parking was free. It was easy to get to the event, and even though construction was going on at the venue it was still easy to find parking and get entry into the event. The rooms inside the event were roomy, there was a cash bar serving refreshments, and all the vendors were friendly. I'm already looking forward to next year's event!

  1. It’s great they could afford a cheap entry price so people had more money to buy things :p The makeup tutorials sound amazing!
