Need ideas for decorating your own Creepmas tree? Why not re-purpose items from Halloween - horror items, decorations, knick-knacks, skeletons, pumpkins etc. - and use them for decorating. You can also use a creepy color scheme to give your tree a sinister feel - try orange and black, black and white or even purple and green for a terrifying touch! Or you could pick a theme an decorate around that - Nightmare Before Christmas is a popular one you could use. I also recommend using ribbon (to match your color scheme or theme) to wrap around the tree or to tie bows onto its branches.
There are lots of other things you can do to creepify your Christmas tree! Just be creative and feel free to share your ideas with other below!
lovely little tree! I have 2 Halloween trees I keep up year round in my little studio. helps keep the spirits up!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I've got that same mirror that's behind your tree in the first picture!!!
ReplyDeleteI like it nice work.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a black Christmas tree! What a super backdrop for all your sinister ornaments. Next year we will be doing a purple, black and green Halloween theme...can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Michael's had Halloween ornaments! I'll have to look for those next year. I just bought my sister in law a Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween tree for her Christmas present. :) I wanted to buy one for myself too.
ReplyDeleteEerily beautiful trees! The tuxedo black tree is perfect for Creepmas! I wish I could find a good deal on a black tree. Luckily I was able to find Halloween string lights that are orange, purple, and green.
ReplyDeleteThis year we celebrated Creepmas for the first time and went all out with a Creepmas tree. Michael's had loads of great Halloween clearance items, like a sparkly green witch's boot and green tinsel tombstones!
