Green Sunshine Shake

Is there any other perfect way than to wake up with this:

Going batty! 

This is what I call my Green Sunshine Shake because it just perks me up in the morning! It contains a banana, a few frozen pineapple chunks, a touch of water and several handfuls of spinach. The result is pure green goodness!

Ever since my boyfriend started making these shakes I just can't quit them! I usually don't have them on the weekdays since I'm in a rush to get to work (those days I'll have a Vega shake), but when I have the opportunity, waking up with one in the morning is just divine. Sometimes I'll even have one after work for a quick and natural energy boost.

You can experiment with different fruit/veggie combos, too - besides spinach, we use kale, lettuce, and pretty much anything leafy and green! You can use whatever fruit you like as well. We're a bit new at this, so haven't tried too many combos, but I'd love to try a kale and kiwi shake!

  1. My favorite thing to do is make baggies of fruit in one person shake servings and freeze them and then just drop them in the blender with some almond milk or water and some spinach, and it's soooo good!

    My favorite fruit combo is peach, banana, mixed berry (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry) with almond milk and spinach. Mmm.
