Most Anticipated Midsummer Scream Presentations

Midsummer Scream is just a few days away and I can't wait for the second year of this Halloween convention (read my coverage of last year's event)! This Halloween convention features thrills and chills via mini haunted attractions, spine-tingling performances, special FX makeup demos, classes and workshops where you can build your own Halloween props, special celebrity guests, spooky vendors galore, a Saturday night costume party on the Queen Mary, and tons of presentations about the season's upcoming haunt attractions from premiere amusement parks like Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights, Queen Mary's Dark Harbor, Knott's Scary Farm, and many more!

I've been looking through their schedule of events, and there are just so many exhibitors, panels, performances, haunts, screenings, celebrities, classes, and even adoptable pets to see over the course of two days on Saturday, July 29th and Sunday, July 30th. I don't know how I'm going to do it all, but I started jotting down all the presentations and performances I can't wait to check out. I thought I'd share my most anticipated Midsummer Scream presentations with you below:

SATURDAY:
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (Terrace Theater): Beyond the 5th Dimension: Creating the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM (Terrace Theater): Knott's Scary Farm: Official Presentation
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM (Panel Stage): Ben Cooper Costumes: Past and Future
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM (Performance Stage): The Dark Art of Puppetry (followed by a live performance by the Bob Baker Marionette Theater)
4:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Terrace Theater): Submitted for Approval: "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Performance Stage): The Terrifying and Titillating Burlesque of Peepshow Menagerie
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Terrace Theater): Queen Mary's Dark Harbor Presentation

SUNDAY:
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM (Panel Stage): Tales and Tribulations: The Delusion Retrospective
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM (Terrace Theater): Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood Presentation
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Panel Stage): Winchester Mystery House

Besides the presentations, there are so many other things I'm looking forward to at Midsummer Scream, like the Hall of Shadows scare zone that includes previews from haunted attractions and wandering scare actors. I also can't wait to wander their huge marketplace that hosts some of the most spooktacular vendors selling all manner of dark, spooky, horror, and Halloween goods! Classes and workshops will be held both days - you can view that schedule here. Short horror films will be screened all weekend in the Screaming Room - it's always nice to take a break and watch some fright flicks. Celebrities will be making special appearances at the event - you can meet Cassandra Peterson, aka Elvira, Sig Haig, Kane Hodder, and so many more - you can view the full line-up is here! And I'll be awwwww'ing over the Kitten Rescue adoption booth where cats will be looking for their fur-ever homes!
