Plant Fest at Tanaka Farms This Weekend

This weekend Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th, Tanaka Farms in Irvine, California will host its first ever Plant Fest featuring vegan food trucks, cooking demonstrations, speakers, cruelty-free vendors, fresh fruit and veggies, live music, and farm tours. Tanaka Farms has partnered with SoCal VegFest to host this event as a fundraiser for the Animal Protection and Rescue League (APRL) - a 501c(3) organization. More below!

If you haven't been to Tanaka Farms before, it is a local farm nestled off the 405 freeway in Irvine that grows organic produce and offers U-Pick tours where you can pick your own veggies and fruit on the farm. It is a beautiful farm and a wonderful location for a plant-based festival! The SoCal VegFest will be celebrating its third year this October in Costa Mesa at the bigger location of the OC Fairgrounds. This veg festival will feature tons of great vegan food and cruelty-free vendors.

I am so excited for this first-ever Plant Fest, and to see some fun cooking demonstrations, eat yummy vegan food, and spend some time on the farm (not to mention to hopefully get a sneak peek at their pumpkin patch, which opens September 29th). Plus a portion of all sales will go to animal rescue group the Animal Protection and Rescue League (APRL) - a 501c(3) organization. Parking and entry to the event are free!

You can find out more about the event on the Plant Fest Facebook event page!
