31 Days of Halloween: Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch

One of my most favorite places is the Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch in Irvine, California. I love the fact that it is a real working farm and you can actually pick your own pumpkins from the rows upon glorious rows of orange (and white and green) gourds that line its hillsides. It holds a very special place in my heart, and so of course one of my Halloween traditions is to visit it at least once every autumn! I generally try to go opening weekend, which is what I did this year.

Here are some photos from the patch this year:

 So. Many. Pumpkins!

Tanaka Farms is a real working farm where you can
pick your own pumpkins, go through the corn maze and
pick your own vegetables!

Queen of the Pumpkins, Lord of the Gourds!

Waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear

Love that Tanaka Farms also has white pumpkins!

This guy was almost bigger than me!

 More gourds and squash!

View from the top of the pumpkin pile!

Oh, just some new friends I made!

Like I said, rows upon rows of happiness!

I'm making a derp face, but I love all the pumpkins around me!

The most sincere pumpkin patch of them all!

  2. Heh heh, nothing better than a good punkin' patch.

Takes me back to fond memories of Autumnal visits to Ardenwood Historical Farm.
