31 Days of Halloween: A Visit to Roger's Garden's "Funn and Gaems Toy Factory"

An autumnal tradition in the house of The Spooky Vegan is to pay a visit to Roger's Gardens, a high-end nursery located in Corona Del Mar. Every year for Halloween they go all out and decorate in a certain theme. They even create a backstory for the particular theme, which is posted every year in September on their site. This year their theme is "Funn and Gaems Toy Factory", and boy, I couldn't wait to see what they had cooked up!

Mister Spooky and I decided to venture to Roger's Gardens one fine fall morning, ready to be "ooooh'ed" and "awwwww'ed" once again by their displays. Though I felt last year's displays were better, this year was still pretty fun...except dealing with all the Newport brats and their oblivious parents (I'm not a big fan of kids in the first place, but these spoiled kids really push me over the edge!).

Surprisingly, we didn't see anything we wanted to buy (did I mention they also sell unique Halloween decorations?!), but perhaps that was a good thing considering the hefty price tag on many items! Still, it was a somewhat pleasant excursion and now I can share some nifty pictures with you!

Welcome to Funn and is your creepy host Mort

Don't be fooled by the seemingly calm photo...
the brats are lurking!

Doll parts

Rats in the vending machine! It's no use T-Rex,
the Twizzlers are lost forever!

I love these pumpkins!

Creepy dolls!!

S is for Skull

Probably my favorite display

Tick-tock, time has run out!

  1. WOW! That looks like an amazing place to visit. Thanks so much for sharing your photos!

  2. Wow...I would totally love that place. I see a card catalog cabinet...I want one of those so badly. I like some of their ideas. And I have several of those pumpkins you called 'cute'. I think they are really cute too. Thanks for sharing the images...wish I could go in person! :o)
