31 Days of Halloween: The Halloween Tree

An absolute holiday classic, The Halloween Tree is a 1972 Ray Bradbury tale that was made into a cartoon of the same name in 1993 that featured the voice talents of Leonard Nimoy as Moundshroud and Bradbury himself as The Narrator!

Sadly, this amazing cartoon has never made it to DVD (for shame!!). Nevertheless, everyone deserves to see it come October, so I've saved you the trouble of hunting it down by posting it right here (via YouTube) for your enjoyment!

  1. I am REALLY REALLY bummed about it not making it onto a DVD! This is of course my all time favorite Halloween show....hence my blog name. And I worry all the time about how long my VHS copy will hold up. Someone really needs to get this on DVD! And it should be played on TV during the month of October so I get a copy on DVR and then burn a disk. But NO...I can never find it, and I have no idea why. Boo Hiss on that!
