Next Year's Halloween Bucket List

I still have the Halloween blues, so I decided to start dreaming of next year's events, and write down stuff I missed out on that I want to try for next year!

Though I felt like I did a lot of activities this Halloween season, I barely made a dent in all the events that Southern California has to offer in September and October (and some November). I figure that I should start a new tradition of writing down what I want to tackle next year, so I can start my plan of attack early!

I know there is no way that I could do it all (unless perhaps I took the whole month off and went completely broke), but I want to add these bucket list items on here as a placeholder/reminder for events/haunts/activities that I want to do next year in and around SoCal!

Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton - I always balk at the ticket prices for this, but every time I regret not buying tickets! If this happens again next year I MUST, MUST go!

Rise of the Jack-o-Lanterns at Descanso Gardens - I believe 2014 was the first year for this event, and from all the photos I saw of it, it looked spectacular! I hope to make it up there next year!

LA Haunted Hayride - I was supposed to go this year, but again I didn't make it out, grrrr. Oh well, there is always next year, right?!

Knott's Scary Farm - I haven't been to Knott's in several years (the last time I went was a disaster), but it looks like they've improved on a bunch of stuff, so I may just add this to my "to-do" list next year!

Boney Island - Everyone raves about this home haunt, and it's a little far for me, but maybe I can combine it with another Halloween event next year and make it out that way.

Queen Mary's Dark Harbor - I don't know why this haunt falls beneath my radar every year...I've heard lots of good things about it and it is probably high time I actually check it out!

Wicked Lit - Plays based on literature held in a cemetery?? I AM SO IN! It is a bit of a trek since it is all the way up in Pasadena, but it looks worth it! I'll take anything that requires wandering around a cemetery at night!

Oak Glen Apple Orchards - I have been to Julian (check out last year's post) to the south for fall activities, but never to this northern patch of apple orchards. It looks very picturesque and beautiful! And maybe it's cooler too, since it is sorta up by the mountains! SoCal could do with some fall chill!

I also want to hit up all my usual haunts and a lot of the events I did this year, including the local pumpkin patches, Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, Delusion's interactive play, Disneyland's Halloweentime, and more!

Of course, who knows where I'll be next year - I may not even be living in SoCal any longer! If not, I'll have to make a whole other list of Halloween bucket list items for next year!

How are you dealing with the Halloween blues? Are you also already making a plan for next year?
