Flame Broiler's simple ordering process - pick a bowl size, pick white or brown
rice and/or veggies, pick your protein (yay tofu!), and enjoy!
I had never been to The Flame Broiler before, but after being offered a chance to check out their new vegan bowl I couldn't wait to visit! The Flame Broiler specializes in made-to-order bowls, starting with a base of white or brown rice and/or veggies (a mix of broccoli, carrots, cabbage), and then adding a protein - the vegan option is their new organic charbroiled tofu. There is also the option to add green onions and a choice of sauces (everything from soy sauce to their magic sauce to hot sauce) to douse your bowl with.
I love their "Eat your veggies!" sign!
I got a regular size bowl with brown rice with some veggies, their organic tofu, green onions and topped with their soy sauce. The tofu was charbroiled really well and was the ideal texture and consistency - chewy without being tough. I really enjoyed their brown rice as well! Mister Spooky (who is not vegan) got the same thing, except with white rice instead of brown, and he doused his with their magic sauce and hot sauce! We both loved their bowls, and it just goes to show that both vegans and non-vegans can enjoy this delicious, healthy, and filling bowl! Plus, it is a great deal - their regular size bowl with tofu option is only around $7.25 (prices at other locations may vary).
Mmmmm, my bowl with brown rice, veggies (buried in there somewhere),
green onions, and organic tofu!
I love that there is a quick and easy vegan option I can pick up whenever I'm on the go, in a hurry, or in an area without a lot of vegan options. There are multiple Flame Broilers where I live and work, so it is excellent to have another vegan option available in my area! Now that they offer a vegan option, I'm sure my first visit won't be my last!
Thanks for the tasty vegan options, Flame Broiler!
And to those with gluten allergies, you'll be happy to know that The Flame Broiler is almost entirely gluten-free with the exception of their soy sauce (though they are working on getting a gluten-free option). Plus, they use no fryers, no dairy, and no added MSG.
You can find more info and locations of The Flame Broiler via their website!
This looks amazing & delicious I'll have to go there and try it๐ Thankyou!
